Hotel in Paris With Accessible Facilities For Disabled

Paris offers a wide range of accommodation, but most of it is not very ‘accessible’. Some places are good in terms of their physical accessibility. But mostly they are not well placed to visit the city of light, or  to link in with accessible transport. Find a hotel with rooms for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) near the Eiffel Tower should then hold your attention!

The Cadran, our 4-star hotel Paris 7th, makes sure to receive all the public in the best conditions. In order to do so, we offer hotel rooms with disabled access.

The difficulty of finding a hotel with PRM access in Paris

Valid people are very lucky when it comes the find a hôtel to spend a few days in Paris. This is much less the case for People with Reduced Mobility, who do not have access to such a large offer.

They face several pitfalls likely to discourage them from coming to discover the most beautiful assets of the capital. The first is the very high fees charged by some institutions. We know that the number of PMR rooms is not in line with the demand. Thus we find unscrupulous hoteliers do not hesitate to set exorbitant rates.

Secondly, people with disabilities often report having to be content with equipment in poor condition. Which can affect their comfort or even worse their safety. In addition, it is not easy for them to identify a place that is accessible and adapted to their disability.

For example, lot of hotels house rooms with the necessary equipment. But most of the time, the elevator that allows access is not large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

The difficulty for a hotel to be in accessibility standards

It is easy to throw stones at hoteliers without knowing the standards of accessibility. The institutions considered must provide adapted parking spaces connected to the main entrance by an accessible path.

When steps make it possible to enter the accommodation solution, an alternative must remain (inclined plane, permanent ramp …). Doors in turn meet demanding criteria (useful passage of at least 55 centimeters, handle easily graspable …). Hotels that do not offer PMR access are also encouraged to make major changes to the interior traffic. Whether it is to join the reception, the catering space or the toilets, etc,. A customer with a disability must be able to cross all the aisles safely.
