The tomb of Napoleon 1st

Designed by the architect Louis Visconti, the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte is placed in a huge crypt of impressive dimensions, so that everyone can see the tomb without having to go to the crypt. Thus, the tomb is placed 6 meters deep, in a space 23 meters in diameter which has no roof.
We then discover a tomb 4 m long by 2 m wide, made of red quartzite and green granite, and containing 5 coffins, the last of which, in ebony, is in the name of Napoleon.
The space is elegantly decorated with white marble statues of women, mosaics and sculpture, in homage to the military prowess of the emperor.
